Autumn

Here's what's going on right now: Saluting Sgt. Pepper is up and running. I'm making a few adjustments to accommodate the different woodwind doublings that exist in the big bands that will perform this music over this autumn.

Anouar Brahem's album Blue Maqams will come out in October. For that recording I played one of the nicest pianos I've ever met so I look forward to its release. Also on ECM, my trio Belovèd will bring out an album in November. It's called The Study Of Touch. More about that later... Today I'm transcribing pieces from Elmo Hope Quintet to work on with an ensemble at Hochschule der Künste Bern.
